On Tuesday evening an engaged audience enjoyed hearing from the Director of Academic Performance, Jeremy von Einem, as he shared the story of his month-long trek to complete the Camino de Santiago in Spain. An entrepid traveller, Jeremy shared his walk of over 700kms and the physical and mental challenges that accompany such a journey. Between a glorious array of photographs that illuminated his daily trek, and recollections of past diary entries that pervaded the journey, Jeremy gave a wonderful oversight of the experience. He brought the presentation to life through his own personal anecdotes, whether it be the battle with shin splints while walking, the morning ritual of breakfast (pastries) and coffee, or the intriguing personalities of the fellow Camino walkers, or just the sheer beauty of the little villages and people he met along the way.

We thank him for this presentation and for sharing such an enjoyable evening with his colleagues and the broader Barker Community.
